Overview
While the pandemic was in full swing with everyone home all day trying to figure out what to while trapped indoors, people from all walks of live jumped onto the Nintendo Switch craze. But the craze wasn't just about the Switch alone, it was around one game in particular- Animal Crossing. At this same time AT&T wanted to find unique ways to get into the gaming space so we become one of the first major brands to inject itself right into the game of Animal Crossing itself. With AT&T Land, players could visit AT&T's own in-game island, hang out with real-life AT&T spokesperson, Lilly, in addition to learn about brand deals, get exclusive in-game content and experience some of AT&T's partnerships like the NBA and Wonder Woman 1984 on the island. The average time customers spent with the brand on their Nintendo Switches was almost 30 minutes at a time.
